Chris mentioned this pump was rented or traded to Joe in some manner. As such, he claimed it was a bit of overkill for the quantity of wine we had been moving. Like using a chainsaw to reduce by means of butter.
I’ve seen it in action although, and it genuinely can chug. Chris was very careful to not let as well considerably air be introduced into the wine or cavatine the pump by sucking something dry. It also happens to weigh about 200 pounds and a bit back heavy for where these wheels are placed.
A single of the items I liked the most about Chris, and guys in general for that matter, is that he had a distinct line that he respected. Let me clarify. The drawing of such a line must be accomplished by the man himself — no one can make a line for you that you’ll usually respect. In this case, there was a line in between what he’d allow plebes such as ourselves to do, and that only himself would and should be responsible for. Zillion dollar pump that requirements continuous monitoring or it could truly break — Chris. Couple million dollars of wine in a fermenter on best of a forklift barely staying on the ground — hey, at least that’s normal, and it’d be sort of difficult to screw up. Go ahead. The placement of lines might look insane, but I assure you, there’s a technique to the madness.
