I purchased a 405nm laser diode (Blue/Violet – practically UV) off ebay just lately and necessary a case to mount it in. So I have turned this from a length of aluminium tube for the physique and two pieces of aluminium bar for the front and back closures. The front closure doubles as a heat-sink. Everything’s held with each other with grub-screws. Runs off two AAA batteries which just match inside.

I believe it appears a bit like a light-sabre!

Employment and Learning Minister, Dr Stephen Farry and Enterprise, Trade and Investment Minister, Arlene Foster these days hosted an awards ceremony for graduates from the Computer software Testers’ Academy

The Academy educated 27 graduates with the abilities and accredited qualifications identified by the 20 participating employers for new job opportunities in their respective firms.

At the ceremony in the Long Gallery at Parliament Buildings, Minister Farry congratulated the graduates on completing the Academy, and stated: &quotThe Computer software Testers’ Academy is an excellent example of how the Division for Employment and Learning and Invest NI assistance graduates to find employment. My Department worked closely with employers and the additional education sector to design and create this Academy to up skill HND and Degree graduates, from any discipline, to be Computer software Testers. The majority of Application Tester’ Academy trainees have gained employment with their function placement organization.&quot

The Academy model has been very effective and is now being provided in a number of areas, which includes Data Analytics and Cloud Technologies. It is also getting additional developed to meet employer demands in other sectors which includes manufacturing with the Personal computer Numerical Control (CNC) Academy.&quot

Arlene Foster stated: Matching the skillsets of our graduates with market requirements is crucial to guaranteeing that Northern Ireland remains an eye-catching location for inward investment and a fertile ground for indigenous firm growth. The impressive degree of sector engagement has been pivotal in the improvement of the Academy and a crucial element in its achievement to date.

Justin Edwards, Assistant Chief Executive and Director of Curriculum, Belfast Met, said: “I would like to provide my congratulations to the graduates from the Software Testers’ Academy which is element of a suite of profitable IT academies delivered at Belfast Met. By functioning in partnership with employers, the Department, awarding organisations and regional Further Education Colleges we are instruction potential employees so that they have the correct skills at the proper time. The London Underground is an all-electric metro railway method that covers much of the conurbation of Higher London and some neighbouring places. It is the world’s oldest underground technique, and is the largest in terms of route length. The origins of the roundel, in earlier years recognized as the ‘bulls-eye’ or ‘target’, are more obscure. While the initial use of a roundel in a London transport context was the 19th-century symbol of the London Common Omnibus Firm — a wheel with a bar across the centre bearing the word Basic — its usage on the Underground stems from the choice in 1908 to find a more obvious way of highlighting station names on platforms. The red disc with blue name bar was rapidly adopted, with the word &quotUNDERGROUND&quot across the bar, as an early corporate identity. The logo was modified by Edward Johnston in 1919.

Every station displays the Underground roundel, typically containing the station’s name in the central bar, at entrances and repeatedly along the platform, so that the name can easily be observed by passengers on arriving trains.

Of all the squirrels listed in the &quotGround Squirrel&quot group, the Thirteen Lined Ground Squirrel is most often mistakenly identified as a gopher or chipmunk.

The Thirteen-lined Ground Squirrel can be simply identified by its brown body, white under body and the thirteen alternating brown and white stripes down its back and sides. These markings can look like seven broad dark brown stripes with six tan bands or seven narrow yellow stripes with six broad dark brown bands.

The thirteen-lined ground squirrel is sometimes mistaken as a chipmunk till their stripes are looked at closer and counted. These adult squirrels grow to be nine to twelve inches lengthy and 35 inches tall and all have internal cheek pouches for carrying meals to their burrow.

The thirteen-lined ground squirrel can be found on prairies, golf courses, cemeteries, and open areas from Canada to the Southern US. They feed on insects, primarily grasshoppers, plants, and the seed of weeds, corn, wheat and occasionally the meat of little vertebrates. Preyed upon by hawks, snakes, foxes, coyotes, and badgers, the thirteen-lined ground squirrel will usually sit erect with its nose in the air seeking for danger whilst consuming.

After hibernation, female thirteen-lined ground squirrels give birth to a litter of 5-13 babies that are born blind, hairless and toothless. These babies open their eyes on day 13 and are totally-grown in three months. Soon after remaining with the mother for 4-six weeks, the babies fend for themselves typically digging their own burrows not far from residence.

The thirteen-lined ground squirrel is most active midday and on warm days. They greet every other by touching their noses and lips and leave scent marks by employing the glands about their mouths.
